Dancer/Choreographer with 40 years of experience. She has a degree in Management and Promotion of Culture and the Arts. Tatiana graduated as a classical dancer in 1990, in Mexico City where she is originally from. She was a scholar at the Vaganova School in St. Petersburg. Her training includes contemporary dance, theater, voice work for actors and Limón Technique being a disciple of Betty Jones (founding member of the Limón Dance Company) in Hawaii where she takes a "Creative Movement" training with Very Special Arts Hawaii, from which she later creates her own Creative Movement method from her experience in public and private schools, teaching this workshop in various parts of Mexico and abroad for more than 20 years. Before founding her company Tatzudanza in 1998, she danced in Mexico with renowned groups and independent choreographers and abroad with Dances we Dance and Ballet Hawaii. Her works include Anna Pavlova and Isadora Duncan: Diálogos; Tarde en Mogador; La mirada de Ulises; Historias inasibles; Arbolada and Entre Palabras. Her work has been presented in prestigious national and international forums and festivals. She has received multiple grants from FONCA, Mérida City Hall and PECDA, among which are Member of the National System of Art Creators of FONCA (2010-2013) and PECDA to creators with trajectory (2009, 2014 and 2021). She ventured into video-dance with "Nadie" (2015), selected at the Screen dance Festival in Stockholm, and later in India, Brazil and Mexico; and "Bolero, Oda a la Vida" (2020), selected at the Screendance festival in its minute dance version. As a teacher she has been teaching since 1986 at a professional level. Since 2005 she teaches at the Escuela Superior de Artes de Yucatán where she collaborated for the implementation and opening of the bachelor's degree in Contemporary Dance performer, opened in 2020. Since 2018 she teaches the Contemporary Dance workshop in the Complementary Training program at ENES-Mérida UNAM. She has been invited as a juror for FONCA and lecturer related to dance and cultural management. Since 2009 she directs the cultural space Fuera de Centro. She is a member of Red Alterna.
