Alexa Velex

is co-founder and Artistic Director of Jacksonville Dance Theatre, a contemporary modern dance company dedicated to creating and driving excellence in professional dance on local, national, and international stages. Her choreographic and performative work has been featured in festivals and concerts internationally and throughout the country. Rebecca serves as Interim Director & Professor of Dance at Florida State College at Jacksonville where she was recently named Outstanding Faculty of the Year. She holds her MFA in Choreography from California Institute of the Arts, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts.
