Bostjan Slatensek
Born 23rd December 1971 in Maribor, Slovenia, he studied history and sociology at the University of Ljubljana.
From 1998 till 2005 he worked as a freelance reporter and photojournalist. He was a war and crisis reporter (Kosovo, Eritrea, Chechnya, Macedonia, West Bank, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kashmir) and was published in numerous national and international newspapers and magazines ( Mladina, Delo – Slovenia; Jutarnji list – Croatia; Diario - Italy; The Sunday Times - UK; Zeri – Kosovo; Time, Boston Globe –
USA; Tages Zaitung Berlin, Fokus – Germany, Dagbladet - Norway...)
In 2002 Študentska založba publishing house / Ljubljana, Slovenia / published his
book Kosovo footprints – on the war in Kosovo, which was translated into English.
In 2018 Založba FDV / Ljubljana, Slovenia / published the book he is co-authoring
Theocracy – Taliban rule in Afghanistan 1996 – 2001
Boštjan Slatenšek is working as a script developer and tutor for scriptwriting in
connection with the Slovenian MEDIA programme and various private film producing
companies.
