Daniel Poehacker

Daniel Poehacker is an Austrian filmmaker. He studied film and television cinematography in Berlin and developed his editing techniques with the Czech editor Eliska Stibrova in Prague and Vienna. He worked as cameraman and editor for cinema and television productions. Since 1997 he has made documentaries and film installations as a freelance director. He engages with the fine arts in film and experiments with found footage and multiple projections. After Der Leib der bleibt am Kanapee (The Body Remains on the Couch) 2004 and Begreifen (Grasping) 2015, his latest film Nikodem (2023) is his third documentary for cinema.
