Esther Etti Inbal
Etti Inbal holds a Ph.D. from The Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and she lead the Computer Education Center of the Central District in Israel. At the Hebrew University, Etti taught courses on educational software development. She later moved to Boston, where she served as a guest scientist at the Harvard School of Education. During this time, she developed educational software that were recognized with the Parent's Choice Award. Etti founded MediaKid, a Computer Education Center aimed at fostering creativity and enhancing thinking skills. She provided valuable consultancy services to local schools and clients, including the development of websites for artists. Etti has also been actively involved in community work, serving as a Co-chair of the Israeli American Leadership Conference and founding the Israeli American Community Cinematec in Tenafly, New Jersey. Her goal with the Cinematec is to introduce top Israeli films and filmmakers to the American public. Etti's passion for filmmaking led her to take a documentary course, and her debut project, "Outside In, Life of a Figure Model," showcases her unique perspective and storytelling abilities. In her director statement, Etti reflects on her upbringing and the influence of her mother's interest in body mind, self-awareness, and self-expression. This personal background has driven her desire to explore subjects that are different from herself and others she has encountered. Choosing a figure model as the subject of her film, Etti envisioned the visual and behavioral aspects, only to be pleasantly surprised by the true essence of the individual she met. This experience reinforced her belief in the importance of looking beyond external appearances and embracing the inner world of individuals.
