Kevin Zambrano
Kevin Zambrano is a bicoastal performer, director and choreographer based in Los Angeles and New York City. He has most recently been the creative director and choreographer for hyper-pop sensation Dorian Electra’s FanFare album and world tour. Previously, he performed as “Moose'' in the Broadway revival of West Side Story by Ivo Van Hove and choreographed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. In addition to Broadway, Kevin has worked with artists such as Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Post Malone, Swedish House Mafia, Charli XCX and Solange Knowles and brands such as Netflix, NIO Singapore and Uniqlo. Kevin is a Burbank native and BFA graduate from The California Institute of the Arts. During his time at CalArts, Kevin choreographed and directed three full-length works, one of which earning him the CalArts’ Interdisciplinary Grant Award and another being an hour length solo performance inside the dressing room at REDCAT, LA. Kevin’s direction and choreographic work has been presented and awarded internationally in Seoul, Amsterdam, Cannes as well as Pageant and Pioneer Works in NYC. In both Los Angeles and New York he has worked with multiple dance companies and choreographers including: Gerard and Kelly, Andy Blankenbeuhler, Rubberlegz, No(one) Arthouse, TL Collective, Madeline Hollander and Rosanna Gamson World/Wide. The project that brings Zambrano the most joy is his residency program, Ghost Light Residency, which he co-directs with Bret Easterling. The program supports dance artists in LA by providing them time and space in the theaters of the Los Angeles area.
