Libby Chow

Libby Chow has been creating video and film content for over 20 years. She began in media, producing news and feature content for The Age online. During this time she won a Walkley and two Quills for her role in digital design and video production. She began her own business Video Bee after the birth of her two children in 2015. During 2021 she directed the short documentary (co-produced/directed with two other women) Giving Voice to Menopause. This film was selected as part of the Female Voices Rock Festival in 2021. Libby is influenced by observational and intimate interview styles of documentary filming. One of her heroes is Agnes Varda who was not interested in accounts of people in power but “much more interested in the rebels, the people who fight for their own life”. Similarly Libby is drawn to document and serve those people who are struggling to be heard. “Human behaviour can teach us so much about ourselves when reflected back in the form of any kind of art.”
