Maria Sapouna

Maria Sapouna is an award-winning filmmaker based in Scotland. She has studied film at the University of Edinburgh and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and also holds a PhD in Criminology from the University of Panteion in Greece. She is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of the West of Scotland where she teaches on crime and social justice. Home Fronts is her first film as director/producer.
