Rodrigo Guim
Rodrigo Guim (artistic name for Rodrigo Gomes Guimarães) holds a bachelor's degree in Ecology, a master's degree in Anthropology, and a PhD in Audiovisuals from the University of São Paulo. He currently works as a photographer and documentary filmmaker. He has directed several short films, and in the last 3 years he has been teaching photography and documentary in indigenous villages in the Amazon. He is the founder and president of the Prónesis Institute of Audiovisual and Social Change, a nonprofit NGO that among his projects has documentary workshops for low income people and films that aim to support social causes directly by passing on profits and rewards to organizations and individuals who deal with the problems dealt with in these films. In The Name Of My People is his first feature film.
