Don't Think It Will Ever Pass 2023, Vesna Award for Best Feature Film, FSF Portorož Don’t Think It Will Ever Pass is an entirely unique and highly emotionally charged film that calls for an open-eyed audience. Experimental and enigmatic, and yet subtle, honest, and associatively open. With an ever-moving camera that seems to be able to find a new story wherever it steered. Constantly unfolding new spaces and finding poetry in the banality of everyday life. Cinema as a ritual, as a need that transforms pain into beauty. 2023, Vesna Award for Best Original Music to Tomaž Grom, FSF Portorož With a repetitive, minimalist motif and thundering silences, music in the experimental film Don’t Think It Will Ever Pass is a poignant signal of the passing of time, evoking intense reactions and mixed feelings. 2. Can't Wait For You To Come Sharpening The Gaze award: In his short film, musician and exceptional artist Tomaž Grom interweaves personal archive footage and family photos with incredible sensitivity, giving us an intimate insight into a dialogue with his memories and inner feelings. In a complex documentary form, the footage literally breathes with its original musical score. Public Aword at Europa Film Festival: Experimental short film where family, life, experiences form a very powerful and attractive collage. Story of many stories. Life in its fullness and dynamism. Originality and naturalness united. And enormous expre4ssiveness and creativity in each scene that we can enjoy. The public has decided to give him this award. The public is wise. Well, it's a unique film. Marvelous! Honorable Mention, Best Documentary at Eastrn Europe Film Festival The "Cinema Libre" prize, curated by Albedo aps, Malatesta short film festival For the ability and the courage to transform the intimate testimony of an irreparable loss into a dense work of life, characterized by total freedom of stylistic expression. Thanks to the very personal and touching work of reworking family photographs, the film strikes the perfect balance between home movies and artistic expression. Under the witchcraft of a musical score, the opera orchestrates different tracks of memory, including photos, family films, stop motion animations, frames of musical executions and reflections on memory and love as in a musical performance. Other: He made music for film Granny's Sexual Life, which has received over 30 awards and is the recipient of the European Cesar Award for 2023.
