There are about 3 million foreigners living in Japan, but the Japanese government has long been implementing discriminatory policies against them. This includes modern-day slave labor of foreign workers to unfair policies against schools for children of Korean descent. The refugee recognition rate is less than 1%, and some ended up dying in the immigration detention center due to their abusive treatments. The United Nations has repeatedly recommended the Japanese Government for corrective actions, but it has been ignored to this day. This documentary is the first film to depict history and current realities of the systematic discriminations against foreigners by the nation of Japan.
