WHEN I BECOME A GHOST

“When I Become a Ghost” is a different kind of ghost story told from a dying woman's point of view as she begins her journey into the Afterlife. It consists of 3 parts that each explore surreal, exotic and eerie encounters. Magical realism, horror, dance and environmental genres are touched upon in each of the chapters that comprise the project. The images are accompanied by a sound score including two tracks by the group Nanotopia who create their intriguing music through sensors capturing the bio rhythms of mycelium mushrooms. We have also experimented with form as well as content. The film is adaptable to many different exhibition formats...as an immersive walk through installation/story experience combining digital technology with video art seen on multiple screens or as a single channel continuous short experimental film with a running time of 14 minutes 49 seconds.
