Astra Zoldnere

ASTRA ZOLDNERE (1983), Latvian director. Astra holds an MA degree in film directing from Baltic Film and Media School. She has directed four short films, music videos and light installations. Her short documentary "Treasures of the Sea" was awarded for the best film in 18. Schleswig-Holstein Film Festival, 2014 and 3. Tetovo Film Festival Watchout, it also got the first prize in festival “Short on Work”, Italy. Her graduation short “The Fencer” has been screened at fifteen international film festivals and was also nominated for the best student film at The Latvian National film festival. Recently Astra finished short film “All My Dead” which had an international premiere in Montreal World Film Festival and was nominated for the best Latvian short in National Film Festival Lielais Kristaps. Now Astra now works on her documentary film “Blueberry Spirits”.
