Daniele Pignatelli
Daniele Pignatelli is a film maker who has done several installations all over the world. He took part in the most important film festivals worldwide and got several prestigious awards including: “Menzione speciale della Giuria Aiace” at the 53rd Venice International Film Festival for “beloved fools”;”Kodak European Award for New Talents" at the 55th Cannes International Film Festival for “Third° & World”. In 2013 for “HOPE2” he gained the certificate of merit for cinematic excellence awarding at 55th Rochester International Film Festival,New York. In february 2014 during the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi-Moscow, he was one of five international artists invited to represent one of 5 Olympic rings for the centenary of the Olympic flag. All the works were exhibited at Manege Museum and Daniele performed his film “MARE1”. In 2020-2022 the short film "Nuovo Cinema Para-Virus", shot during the first lockdown, was selected in over 120 Film Festivals, obtaining various awards. July 2021 made the short film "the other land" produced by Giffoni Innovation Hub with the support of Bayer and presented as a "special event" at the 51st Giffoni Film Festival. In 2021 the screenplay of "Ago e il drago" obtained the economic contribution of the MIC, the Italian Ministry of Culture. His new feature film “I hope for Heaven” has just started touring festival. 2024: he shot and is editing the documentary “memento-amare-semper: Milano e Guernica 1953-2023”.
