Gökşin Doğa Egesoy

I was born in 1995. I graduated from Kadir Has University with a full scholarship and an Honor Certificate. In 2020, my short film “When Are We Going?” reached the finals in the “Environmental Short Film Festival” competition in Turkey. In the same year, I received a Screenplay Mention Award from the “Sinemazon” Female Directors Festival in Turkey for my screenplay “The Fire Was Not In Our House.” This screenplay also made it to the finals in the “3rd Luma Yeditepe University Short Film Festival” in the short screenplay category in 2023. In 2024, I completed my first feature film “Icarus” as a writer, director, and producer. Before filming, the project reached the finals of the project pitching competition of the 7th Denizbank First Script First Movie Competition, and the contest is still ongoing.
