Ime N Etuk
Ime Etuk is a Nigerian-American filmmaker, director, and creative storyteller known for bringing culturally rich and emotionally grounded stories to life. A first-generation Nigerian raised in Portland, Oregon, his work is deeply influenced by his experience navigating both African and American identities, which shapes the authenticity and depth of his storytelling.
Ime Etuk is the director of the film The Bride Price, a heartfelt dramedy that explores love, tradition, and the complexities of cultural expectations within a West African setting.
With a background in film, journalism, and theater, Etuk has contributed to a range of productions across independent cinema and the broader film industry, including work connected to Hollywood projects as a director and assistant director. His creative approach centers on real stories, community voices, and underrepresented perspectives, often blending narrative and documentary styles.
