Delvene Delaney has long enjoyed a successful career as one of Australia's beloved television personalities and top models. Her career highlights include 9 years as the female lead on The Paul Hogan Show, 3 years as co-host on Sale of the Century, and 1974 Queensland Photographic Model of the Year. Delvene joined her husband, John Cornell, Producer of CROCODILE DUNDEE, as crew on CROCODILE DUNDEE II. Following the incredible impact of these films, Delvene and John built and operated the renowned Beach Hotel in Byron Bay for 16 years, and owned and operated the Hotel Brunswick for 30 years. For the past 5 years, Delvene has helmed the business of Rimfire Films, the creators and IP owners of CROCODILE DUNDEE. Delvene and Victoria met in 2015, on a primary school P&C committee. They soon became firm friends and subsequent collaborative co-workers. Victoria, an experienced Media Executive with a career spanning over 25 years in International Content Distribution and Licensing, joined Delvene at Rimfire Films, in reviewing and reviving the global distribution activities for CROCODILE DUNDEE and CROCODILE DUNDEE II, including a meticulous 4K restoration While searching for the original elements of the film in John’s extensive archives, Delvene and Victoria discovered a treasure trove of never-before seen behind-the-scenes footage, scripts, storyboards and photographs. Inspired to share these precious discoveries, Delvene and Victoria together crafted the documentary, LOVE OF AN ICON: THE LEGEND OF CROCODILE DUNDEE… an authentic story from the heart, celebrating a true telling of the challenges, collaboration, courage, chemistry and love inherent in this iconic film. LOVE OF AN ICON: THE LEGEND OF CROCODILE DUNDEE is the first film written, produced and directed by Delvene Delaney and Victoria Baldock, inspired by their mutual enthusiasm for authentic story-telling.
