A Shoe Story is a whimsical 2D animated short film created as my Graduation Project in 2024. The film brings shoes to life as they band together and fight back against mistreatment by humans — tired of endless walks and careless neglect, they rise up to demand respect. Through humor and charm, the story explores themes of justice, equality, and the overlooked value of everyday contributions. While lighthearted, it subtly reflects the harsh realities of oppression, encouraging viewers to appreciate the simple yet essential things in life.

REVIEWS:

The subversion of roles - objects becoming agents of change, is executed flawlessly in under 3 minutes. Pure craft.

Albert Beltrán

The clean 2D style, soft palette, and clever character design make this SO watchable. It’s like Pixar meets political satire.

Luca Ochoa

Behind the laughs, there’s real commentary: on labor, on dignity, even on consumerism. It’s hilarious AND sharp.

Phil Dadson

I loved that the shoes’ demands weren’t just about comfort, but about recognition. That hit home.

Andrés Alvares

Perfect short film structure: smart premise, escalating action, punchy climax, soft closing. This one’s a hit

Alexander Par

I laughed out loud at ‘Happy shoes, happy you.’ Disney wishes it was this witty!

Kirill Averin

Oh, what a fun cartoon this turned out to be :) It’s concise, clear, and so relevant. The film touches on pressing issues with humor and ease. And even though it’s kind of absurd, I’d totally support the shoes and their demand for rights! Thank you!

I didn’t expect to feel for sneakers. But when they started demanding rights and days off? I was like—yeah, they deserve it!
