Sean, a 27-year-old lost soul, is looking for a job. Sabaleh, a seasoned debt collector, wants nothing more than to reconnect with his estranged daughter. But when fate—and a mutual acquaintance—forces them together, the day spirals into a high-stakes game of survival. A job interview disguised as a criminal errand goes horribly wrong when Sean accidentally kills their target, Snai, a quirky, eccentric man who never saw it coming. Now, with their lives on the line, Sean and Sabaleh must cover their tracks, leading them down a path of unexpected bonding, self-discovery, and impossible choices. As Sabaleh wrestles with his loyalty to his ruthless boss Pinto, he sees in Sean a reflection of his own broken relationship with his daughter. But when the inevitable moment of reckoning arrives, will Sabaleh betray his past, or sacrifice himself for a chance at redemption? In a climactic battle against time and fate, the film delivers a raw, heart-pounding finale—one that will change Sean forever.

REVIEWS:

A very interesting and unusual film. A combination of crime, confrontations, and fights with spirituality, depth, psychology, and humor. Strangely enough, it leaves a feeling of kindness and purity by the end. Thank you!

When Sabaleh looked at Sean like he was his kid for a second… damn. It’s those quiet pauses, not the guns, that hit the hardest. I didn’t expect to tear up, but I did.

Live Screenings Attendee

It excels when it embraces its absurdity and slows down just enough to let its themes breathe. At times it leans too hard into style over substance, but the performances keep it grounded. Especially Sabaleh — tragic, tired, and impossible not to care about.

Live Screenings Attendee

Felt like a stoned Pulp Fiction mixed with Snatch but through a Tel Aviv lens.

I laughed at the squirrel tattoo story, then five minutes later I was like, ‘oh no, this is gonna get dark.’

BODY plays like a tragicomic spiral — starting as a dark buddy film, drifting into existential farce, and crashing into genuine heartbreak. The tonal shifts are gutsy and not always smooth, but they reflect the characters’ instability. Sabaleh is a walking wound — and the film knows it.
