The film "CIDADE" portrays the city of Lisbon today, as cosmopolitan and diverse, in contrast to the early 20th century. To represent this change, the film's sole performer wanders and reflects on the city, observing the transitory changes that have occurred over time. She observes and imitates the behavior of today's city dwellers, verifying the urban development of the 21st century. The artistic movement only occurs in the character from the past, however the piece is completed by the three roles represented: the people of the metropolis carrying out their routine, the performer reflecting on the present and, predominantly, the emerging city that is Lisbon.

REVIEWS:
It gave me a feeling of solitude in the middle of a crowd. Beautiful and a little sad
Michel Veloso
I liked how the dancer stood out against the busy city. It felt poetic, but still very real.
Daniel Garcia
The juxtaposition works well. The old-style costume against modern Lisbon creates a striking visual dialogue.
Franc Prieto
Lisbon is almost a character itself here. the mix of past and present feels like walking through living history
