CLARA’S WINTER JOURNEY

A concert tour in ice and snow, fragments from Clara Wieck Schumann's travel diary, piano music, electro sounds and contemporary art songs: biographical fragments from the life of the pianist and composer that oscillate between the inner world and the outside world, intimacy and publicity. A choreography of music, landscape and archive impressions, interwoven in a mix of materials. The story is told by three Claras: Clara the narrator and singer, Clara the pianist and Clara the dancer. Clara's Winterreise was created as an interdisciplinary artistic research project at the mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
