After the freak rupture of her aorta, a condition that normally leads to death in minutes, Ingi Doyle and her partner Scott embark on a desperate search for answers. DISSECTION, the Witness Statement of Ingi Doyle, is a confronting documentary, minimalist and naked in style. Recounting survival against the odds, with medical teams doing everything possible to keep her alive, Ingi and Scott's journey becomes entwined with that of immunologist Professor Nikolai Petrovsky. Stripped back to the absolute essentials, with the interviewees in command of the screen, DISSECTION boldly pioneers a new 'nothing hidden' approach to documentary making.

REVIEWS:

At times the story felt too linear. I wanted more context, statistics, medical depth. But maybe that’s the point to show emotion, not data.

Ioanna Glaser

An amazing film! Open, powerful, honest. And very, very important! I’m so happy I watched it. I absorbed every word and felt every emotion. I personally went through something similar — I was forced to take a Covid vaccine, and then I spent a year and a half recovering from serious complications. It feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders!!! I didn’t imagine it, I’m not alone… and most importantly, people have finally started speaking openly about this. And trying to fight the system’s mistakes. Huge thank you!

Great work! The truth must be revealed!

Ethan Brown

Finally! I knew it! I do got some symptoms after the Covid vaccination too! Awesome short! Great work guys!

Alexis Shaw

The film brilliantly employs minimalism. It feels like the camera is simply listening to the truth. Dissection exemplifies a new wave of documentary realism where emotion replaces editing.

Alfonso Triana

I thought it would be boring at first, but I got pulled in! It feels like real life, not a movie. Such a strong woman.

Sophia Wilson

It’s rare for a documentary to portray medicine so truthfully. No glorification, Just the raw reality of the human body and the team fighting to save it.
