REVIEWS:

As an Italian, I'm always a bit hesitant to watch movies about our crime families made in other countries. It often feels stereotypical. But I have to say, the acting here was genuinely compelling. Fabio's internal conflict felt real. It's a bit slow in the middle, but the tension near the end with Don Pino pays off. Solid drama.

A very dragged-out film. The storyline feels disjointed and doesn't quite come together into a single, clear picture. If not for my promise to watch it to the end, I would have definitely walked out a couple of times. But having watched the whole film, I can note that there are vivid and interesting moments. You can trace some philosophy and human meaning. Also, the Italian storyline in Germany and the intertwining of languages are shown very well. Thank you!

A very tight script. The shifting loyalties within the organization kept me guessing until the very end. Great job by the director.

Javier López

Loved the visuals, but didn't like the acting and the pacing/dynamics of the movie.

Live Screenings Attendee

I liked the atmosphere and color of the Soviet times, but the film felt too dragged out.

Live Screenings Attendee

It's a good film, it's dramatic but it came off flat to me. The acting fits it well, music is good. Until the second half. The coloring is great but it does not remain consistent enough. The cinematography in general does not remain consistent enough. Some of the cuts were too fast-paced.

Live Screenings Attendee

I liked the plot, story and visuals, but it had moments where it seemed awkward.

Live Screenings Attendee

The movie is very dragged out and unclear. I didn't like the music.

Simon Schlömer managed to create a very claustrophobic atmosphere. You really feel the weight of Fabio's decisions. The lighting in the interrogation scenes was a nice touch. It's a heavy watch, but definitely worth it if you like psychological crime thrillers.

Zoe Thompson

So tragic. You can see how this life just destroys them from the inside. Fabio’s reflections on his life really hit hard.

Zuzanna Wiśniewska

Absolutely brilliant! The cinematography is so dark and moody, it perfectly fits the ruthless world of the Bassi clan. That scene where they discuss Geraldo's suicide and the lost millions... just cold, pure gangster cinema. Highly recommend it
