REVIEWS:

A very beautiful, interesting, and unusual film. For the first time, I saw the underwater world through the eyes of technical divers. Amazing people and stories. How softly and delicately they touch upon hidden "unfinished stories". How the destinies of different countries intertwine through the depths. The commonality of different nations is revealed through tragedies without judging who is right or wrong. Just facts in the meditative beauty and depth of the world and history. Thank you!

Interesting concept, but it got a bit repetitive. Cave, wreck, dark water, repeat. The technical execution is flawless, and the underwater shots in Norway were stunning, but after the first hour, I felt like I had seen everything the film had to offer. It’s good, but it would have been much stronger and punchier as a 60-minute cut.

Visually and sonically, this film is an absolute masterpiece. The sound design really makes you feel the crushing weight of the water and the absolute isolation of those caves. I do think 90 minutes is slightly long for what is essentially a series of underwater explorations without a strong narrative structure, but the sheer aesthetic beauty kept me engaged. Definitely deserves the Award!

A profound meditation on the places humanity left behind. Christian Wehrle doesn't just show us wrecks and caves; he shows us the quiet, eerie afterlife of these spaces. The pacing is deliberate, perhaps too slow for some, but I found the narrator's reflections on not seeking glory, but just exploring the unknown, very poetic. Excellent feature!

The cinematography is incredible, that thin beam of light in the dark shot will stay with me. A terrifyingly beautiful 90 minutes.
