There is a raw honesty here that I appreciated. He starts by joking about not shaving, and ends up talking about the immortality of the soul. It captures that specific nostalgia of the old dance hall days perfectly. It felt very human.

Such a gentle, beautiful soul. I could listen to him talk for hours. The way he describes climbing through the toilet window just to dance at the Grand Hotel is so charming! But it was the ending that really got me. His idea that the harmony we produce in life doesn't disappear but survives as a higher energy. A lovely portrait of a life well-lived.

Short, sweet, and surprisingly deep. Didn't expect to get choked up by the end. A classy tribute.

An interesting film. A truly engaging, rich story with powerful motivation and beautiful imagery. The impression was slightly spoiled by a sense of the hero's self-admiration. Thank you!

interesting, but poor video quality

Actors acting (was very natural), editing was good

The movie is like a documentary, it tells of some familiar and unfamiliar sides of one Relates to politics.

Simple but profound. It’s just a man, a camera, and a lifetime of memories, but that is enough. The director allows the silence to speak as much as the words. It feels like a private conversation about the meaning of art and death. 'Highly recommended for those who like character studies.
Paulo Costa
A bit too traditional for my taste. It's basically a 16-minute interview. The subject is interesting and has some wise things to say about dance and energy, but visually it wasn't very dynamic compared to the other films in the festival. Good for a TV biography slot, maybe less exciting for a big screen.
