Akihito Izuhara

In the 1990s, I worked on many video installations and interactive works. I started making short films in 2005. In 2010, "Song of the Red Forest" was invited to be screened at the Berlin International Film Festival. In 2012, "Li.Li.Ta.Al" was nominated for the Berlin International Film Festival and the Annecy International Film Festival. In 2016, "Vita Lakamaya" was nominated for the Berlin International Film Festival for the second time. In 2023, "kawauso" won the Japan Premiere Award at the Sapporo International Short Film Festival, was nominated for the third time at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2024, and won the Best Film Award at the Krakow International Film Festival.
