Alexander Konovalov is a film director, scriptwriter, and CG artist working internationally between Sofia, Bulgaria and Tokyo, Japan. His creative motto — “Change perspective. Keep the essence” — reflects his approach of blending unusual concepts with brand values to craft memorable visual stories. Konovalov’s portfolio spans branded films, explainers, 3D cinematics, and live-action projects. He has directed and scripted for clients such as Cofix, A-One Films, and VKontakte, and his work ranges from commercials and product videos to short films and animated content. Notable projects include the branded short Not A Funny Man for Cofix, the documentary My Beautiful, Pathetic Age (Istanbul, 2023), and CG/animation work such as An Ordinary Day in 2025 and Luminari Cinematics. As a multidisciplinary creator, Konovalov brings together skills in directing, writing, 3D (Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D), 2D explainers, logo/brand animation, and video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects). His ability to lead mixed creative teams allows him to deliver projects from early idea development and treatments through to final production. Driven by a passion for storytelling that transcends product features, Alexander Konovalov continues to develop work that merges cinematic imagination with commercial communication — always keeping the essence of a brand at the heart of the narrative.
