Alexander Konovalov

Alexander Konovalov is a film director, scriptwriter, and CG artist working internationally between Sofia, Bulgaria and Tokyo, Japan. His creative motto — “Change perspective. Keep the essence” — reflects his approach of blending unusual concepts with brand values to craft memorable visual stories. Konovalov’s portfolio spans branded films, explainers, 3D cinematics, and live-action projects. He has directed and scripted for clients such as Cofix, A-One Films, and VKontakte, and his work ranges from commercials and product videos to short films and animated content. Notable projects include the branded short Not A Funny Man for Cofix, the documentary My Beautiful, Pathetic Age (Istanbul, 2023), and CG/animation work such as An Ordinary Day in 2025 and Luminari Cinematics. As a multidisciplinary creator, Konovalov brings together skills in directing, writing, 3D (Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D), 2D explainers, logo/brand animation, and video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
