David Villegas

David Villegas is a Mexican-American Writer/Director/Producer, from Los Angeles where he has written and directed multiple award-winning short films starring actresses and actors that continued on to play roles in network shows. David most recently wrote a feature film that garnered the strong interest of Netflix. Aside from directing and writing his own projects, David is also the creative story editor at Scenario Entertainment in Los Angeles CA. Scenario is a Hollywood-based story development production company who works with Academy & Emmy award-winning production companies, studios & networks. Scenario has worked with Netflix, Sony Pictures, HBO, Amazon Studios & many more industry powerhouses. David is also a volunteer leader at Motion Picture Industry Institute where he devotes his free time mentoring emerging talent to hone their skills in screenwriting, story development, and story analysis. He has managed three internships in the areas of Screenwriting, Story Development and General Industry knowledge. During his tenure at MPii, David has guided over 300 interns and loves to meet new people and share his industry insights with others. David's strong sense of voice and on the page screenwriting craft helps him create stories that have strong character duality. His stories explore the humor and conflict in everyday life.
