Denis Retroff

Denis Retrov has worked as a lathe operator in the factory, cloakroom attendant at jazz-bar, lab assistant, radio presenter, engineer, PR manager and rep for international companies and a lecturer in the leading universities. He has lived in Moscow since 2000. In 2008 he completed a course at the Higher Course of Scriptwriters and Film Directors, Russia and in 2010 – the HSE program “Specialist in Creative Management and Directing” (workshop of M. Razbezhkina). He has taken part in many playwright competitions. Since 2010 his plays have been staged (Praktika Theatre (Moscow), Moscow Art Academic Theatre named after M. Gorky (Moscow), Stsena- Molot (Perm)). He has also worked on independent film projects («The Summer», «The Navigator» as a director and screenwriter.
