THE DESIGNATION

An elderly professor announces his serious illness, thereby aggravating the question - which of the two subordinates will be assigned to his position: a cute mistress assistant or a nondescript but devoted deputy. Both have long been waiting for the opportunity to advance in their careers, the situation is complicated by a love triangle. Who will get the new appointment? Who will the professor appoint as his successor? Should the deputy go for broke?
