Misa Ogawa
Born in 2001, Misa Ogawa began acting at age 6, and has since appeared in numerous musicals, plays, voice and dance performances, operas, and television and film productions. They directed their first short film at 16. At the 14th Tanabe Benkei Film Festival in 2020, their film "Gishin: The Second God" won the Kinemeister Award. They majored in film directing at Nihon University in Tokyo, where they directed two independent films, "Here Lies Our Tempest" and "Ghost Light Shines on the Dusty Path to Death", the latter of which is currently in post-production. Additionally, they were selected as a workshop member for "ndjc: New Directions in Japanese Cinema" commissioned by Agency for Cultural Affairs and the "Kyoto Filmmakers Lab: Hands-on JIDAIGEKI" project. While making films, Misa resumed theatre directing and stage acting in 2022. They are currently pursuing a Master of Arts in theatre studies, and they hope to be able to continue creating new inspiring works for both the stage and cinema.
