Remington Smith
Writer/director/producer Remington Smith grew up preoccupied with survival and childhood poverty. He was on track to become a high school history teacher until he became a 35mm projectionist at the campus movie theater. He borrowed a DV camcorder and made his first short films (including The Woods and The Derby). His debut feature film LandLord draws on his personal experiences with nomadic poverty and love of horror to highlight people and places seldom seen in film battling fictional forces in a grounded reality.
