Yangshiyi Liu

Hi, I’m Yangshiyi Liu (Mavis Liu), the director of the animated short Step Forward. I was also involved in the early concept development and 2D animation production. As the director, I was responsible for shaping the overall narrative rhythm, defining the visual style, and guiding the direction while coordinating communication within the team. Through the story of a young boy named Ollie, I hope to convey a sense of warmth and encouragement, anyone facing hardship in life might find the strength to rise again, and take one step forward.
