During the acting training each of the participants should bring an important object and share his intimate story. Elena haven't prepared for this task, so she had to come up with the story on the run. It touches everyone and evokes sympathy. But this feeling is new for her. Director's note: I have been living in Italy for 5 years already. The problem of emigration is of high relevance here, everyone speaks up on this subject and sometimes aggressively and unambiguously. This film is based on a real story that at my sight. I heard a man who had lost his loved ones and fled the country because of the war saying that immigrants should not be allowed to be accepted in the ports of Italy. I was deeply impressed. I wondered how such contradictions can exist in one person. I was thinking over this subject for quite a long time and in the end I had the idea of this film. While working on the film, I came to realizing more and more that the main theme of this film is not immigrants and the crisis caused by this problem. The main problem is the duality of human nature. Each of us somehow express himself in this way. This feature can be seen both within the individual and the peoples on the whole. We forbid our children to play with the phone, while we can't live without it. We teach the whole world of democracy and tolerance, while dropping bombs for better understanding. There are a lot of examples, each of us have them. I wanted to draw people's attention to this duality and think about how inconsistently we behave.
