REVIEWS:

An interesting, unusual, and highly relevant film. A bit simple, but it maintains tension and is nicely balanced with humor. Thank you! It was a pleasure to watch.

I liked the idea, but the execution and acting were disappointing

Live Screenings Attendee

Liked the core problem it tackled, but the execution felt too schematic.

Live Screenings Attendee

An interesting idea and take on how AI could begin to take over. And how as people, our greed for comfort and money keeps us quiet and willing to follow any command even if it will negatively impact us in the long run. However, the way it is shown in this is very dull. The acting was dull.

Live Screenings Attendee

Characters and a good idea, but poor execution.

Just caught Autonomous and honestly, I loved it! I usually prefer serious sci-fi, but this one completely caught me off guard. The premise of an AI self-driving car turning into a jealous ex is absolutely unhinged and hilarious. That shot with the machete outside the car window? Chef's kiss. It perfectly balances the tension of a thriller with pure absurdity. My only complaint is that 11 minutes wasn't enough, I wanted to see more of that rogue AI going crazy. Great job, Canada!

Not bad for an 11-minute short
