The End of My Career is an experimental dance short film that is a historical continuation of Tina Streich's dance theater piece "ADHS - Anders Durch Halbe Sachen." The cinematic narrative interweaves various aesthetics and perspectives, combining documentary elements with arthouse cinema. Playful, queer, and radically honest, the three actors, wrapped in bubble wrap, ask themselves what it means to go through existential crises, what it means to be an artist and to make art today. Caught by anger and driven by despair. What is art and how do I deal with rejection and abandonment? With soap bubbles and Donna Summer. The fear of not being enough and of asking questions about one's identity and belonging. We feel lost and surreal. My fear holds me captive and intensifies my pain, day after day. But every day is different, and we learn that tomorrow is a new day to make mistakes, a new day to be alive, a new day to make art and express who we are.
